FAQs

Why use a broker?

Working with a broker means you can access more options without the complexity. We have access to over 40 lenders and thousands of products, so we can compare options and negotiate on your behalf to ensure you’re getting the best deal. We then help you select a loan that suits your needs and manage the entire process through to settlement.

Is it free to use a broker?

Yes – it’s free for you to engage us as your broker. Even though we work for you, we don’t charge you any fees at all. Brokers are paid by the lender when your loan has been settled. But rest assured that this does not influence us – we always act in your best interest. Period. Not only because it’s legislated but because we wholeheartedly believe in providing an honest and transparent service that works for you.

When should I contact a broker?

Any time you want to discuss your loan options, consider changing your investment strategy, or even if you’re just curious about what you could borrow, these are good times to chat with a broker. We have experience helping people at every stage of the finance journey. Because we offer a free service, there is no obligation, and we’re always happy to share our knowledge – ask us any question, any time.

When should I refinance?

Because your mortgage is repaid over a long time, typically 30 years, interest payments make up a significant chunk of the monthly payment, particularly during the first ten years of your loan. When you refinance your mortgage to a lower interest rate, the amount you pay in interest will go down. Some lenders offer cash back, which means you may not be charged any fees to refinance, and it will save you money. We have over 40 lenders with which we can compare your loan to ensure that your mortgage is still suitable for your needs.

What is an offset account?

An offset account is a transaction account linked to an eligible home or investment loan. The money you have in this account could offset the amount you owe on that loan, and you’ll only be charged the interest on the difference.
